About

In a movement Studio with music playing..

If I’m moving my body and helping others find a deeper connection into their trillions of body parts too, I’m very happy. My work in Movement started through Dance. I made it my career and it took me around the world to some of the most incredible theatres and far away places.

Later through teaching dance, I began to study, explore and analyse movement. This allowed for a greater understanding of anatomy and body mechanics which progressed naturally to teaching more body movement focused work.

Now I share my love of Movement and understanding of the body with others.

My background:

After graduating from The Rambert School Of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, London, I was honoured to have had the opportunity to tour as a dancer with Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures Company and also work in various Opera, Film and Theatre.

I returned to Devon and established Chapel House Studios in Totnes over a decade ago. I live near Totnes with my husband and two children.

I am a Silver Swans Licensee, Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD) Registered Teacher, Rambert Grades Member and certified Rambert Teacher (Contemporary Dance). In additional to dance education, I have taken countless trainings and CPD in Pelvic Floor and Core health, Pre and Post Natal, Yoga Detour (Detour Method Training), Barre Instructor Certification, Prenatal and Postpartum Corrective Exercise, and Self-Myofascial Release Techniques.

My approach to fitness is eclectic, drawing on many different movement modalities and mindful approaches. I keep learning. I am firmly rooted in the belief that movement and exercise should fill you up, light up your intuition, be steady, consistent, help you develop trust and confidence in yourself and be enjoyable too…something your 100 year old self (and joints) will be proud you invested your time in practising from now.
